Bunaken - Sulawesi - The world upside-down

A little jewel for scuba divers and backpackers. We first were a bit scared that the island of Bunaken would be very touristy as it is the one place that is recommended everywhere in the North Sulawesi. The truth is that this little island is still a hidden gem – where stress never arrived.

There are no cars on the Island and you can walk around passing by the laid back resorts usually consisting of small wooden huts. We loved the atmosphere in Daniel’s Homestay. We felt like being part of the family from the first second we arrived. Having breakfast, lunch and dinner together with all the other guests was great!
